How a broader view of advertising, web design and customer enquiries helped an Edinburgh painting and decorating business strengthen its presence and prepare for its next stage.
When Kamil Wachala was referred to Enigmatio, he wanted help with Google Ads. Capital Painters had been serving Edinburgh customers since 2017, building its reputation through workmanship and recommendations. The advertising needed to bring that business to people actively looking for a local contractor.
Our first meeting looked at the wider journey: the campaigns, the existing Squarespace website, local visibility and the route to requesting a quotation. Earlier advertising had attracted broad decorating-inspiration searches, while the website gave limited space to the company’s projects and reputation.
We recommended improving the advertising and rebuilding the website together. Kamil had not initially planned to invest in a new site, but after discussing the reasoning, he decided to trust the wider
recommendation.
We rebuilt the Google Ads strategy around local intent. More relevant search terms, tighter geographic targeting, negative keywords and clearer messages helped focus the campaigns on people looking for painting and decorating services in Edinburgh and the surrounding area.
We also reviewed the contact routes and tracking. The purpose was straightforward: help the right people find the business and make it easy to request a quote.
As demand grew, Kamil reported a diary booked around six months ahead and brought in additional staff. We recommended reducing advertising spend to reflect that capacity. The strategy developed with the business: maintain visibility while giving the team room to deliver the work already booked.
The new WordPress website launched on 7 August 2026. Real project photography, completed work, customer reviews and clear service information became central to the experience.
Dedicated pages explain interior and exterior decorating, plastering and skimming, and surface preparation and restoration. Clear quotation calls to action and responsive layouts give prospective customers a practical next step.
The early contact-form comparison was encouraging: average monthly enquiries increased from approximately five on the previous site to ten on the new website. It was an early business result rather than a measure of Google Ads alone, but it showed more visitors taking the step that mattered.

We extended the refreshed presentation into premium business cards, with a QR code providing a route from an in-person introduction to the website.
Managed hosting, domains, maintenance and Microsoft 365 licensing support gave Kamil a single team to turn to for the digital essentials around the business. These practical services supported the website nd campaigns as part of an ongoing relationship.
The conversation has moved beyond attracting the next enquiry. After taking on additional staff, Kamil is planning another team and considering a wider service offering.
Capital Painters now has a clearer advertising strategy, a website that reflects its workmanship and a consistent presentation to support those plans. Kamil and his team built the reputation and delivered the work; our contribution was to help the right customers discover it and adapt our support as the business’s priorities changed.
